ホストファミリーから4泊5日のスティ中の写真を頂きブログに紹介しています。それぞれのホストが思いおもいに観光や体験を通して素晴らしい交流を深めました。
Pictures from the hostfamilies during the four night/ five day stay. I’m
posting pictures that I’ve received on this blog. Host families spent time
with their students going sightseeing or doing different activities
together, providing an excellent chance to deepen cross-cultural communication

杉田さんファミリー これまで何回スティを受けられたのか解らないくらい、毎回お世話になっています。
いわゆるホストファミリーの駆け込み寺みたいなものです。
The Sugida family has been a homsetay hostfamily many times, helping me
and Luther College out every visit.

阿蘇火口にて At the mouth of Aso Volcano
この日は、ガスがたくさん発生してて、下山直後に規制がかかり、グッドタイミングで観光できました。
On this day, there was a lot of gas and fumes spewing from the volcano,
so they had to close the viewing area immediately after the students and
host family came down from the mountain. Good timing!
5月30日 草千里にて馬に乗ってみました。先頭は舞香、次がジェナです。アンはずっと後ろにいます。
Horseback riding at Senri pasture. At the lead was Maika-san, followed by
Jena, and Anne in the rear.
舞香が撮ったので、中心がずれています。広大な大地に｢its great｣の連発。丁度、ミヤマキリシマもきれいに咲いていました。
Maika-san took the pictures, so the center is a little off. Taking in the
wide landscape of the mountain plains, “It’s great!” could be heard
repeat edly.
5月30日 熊本城にて
あまりの暑さに２人ともサングラス着用、お城の最上階まで登って、｢I'm tired｣
On a sweltering day 2 students had to wear sunglasses as they climbed to
the top floor of the tower…”I’m tired!”
5月30日 最後の夕食 母とジェンナとアン

国武さん、毎回、ホストファミリーのお願いに、快く受け入れありがとうございます。
SDカードを持参され、今回も素晴らしい交流ができましたと、下のフォトを見ると、その雰囲気が伝わってきます。

Looking at the pictures below, which I got from Kunitake-san’s SD card, it
seems like it was a great homestay experience and nice atmosphere this time
around as well

お土産の本で読み聞かせ……まさしく生きた英語の勉強
ホストファミリーはこんな体験も出来ます。
Reading from and listening to a picture book the students brought as a
present…homestay visits also provide an opportunity for the hostfamilies to
hear real and natural English.
家族皆で食事……コミュニケーションもバッチリ
